The Air Extractor fits into the end of the flush syphon between pan and cistern on a syphonic toilet.
A close-coupled syphonic toilet suite looks similar to washdown close-coupled suite. However, the subtle differences is the pan usually projects into the room further because inside are two chambers, known as traps, instead of only one in the close-coupled.
To allow the second chamber to flush properly, an air extractor, or bomb, is placed inside the syphon of the cistern. Because of this the cistern will require being un-bolted from the pan.
